globalEdu is your entrance point to the best universities in Costa Rica. We are the Costa Rican Universities Consortium for International Education, the leading organization in the promotion and implementation of educational programs, cooperative alliances, research projects, and general advising in internationalization. Costa Rica is among the 10 top destinations for international students, especially for U.S. students studying abroad for academic credit. Our members have over 200 bilateral agreements with prestigious private and public universities from around the globe in different areas of study such as business, social sciences, health, communications and design, environment and sustainability, hospitality, engineering, and information technologies. Our academic offering comprises undergraduate and graduate degrees as well as continuing education, either on-campus or virtually. Additionally, international experiences may be available through various opportunities that integrate language training, service-learning, faculty, and student

mobility, research, and tailored or summer programs that may also be designed as virtual exchanges, if needed. Among our most remarkable achievements is our participation as speakers in international conferences like HACU, NAFSA, and ALES Ecuador, and as exhibitors in NAFSA, HACU, CBIE, China International Education Expo, the Central American Fair: Study in Costa Rica, and HEP. We have also organized international workshops and training sessions in areas such as Comprehensive Internationalization, with Boston College, and Standards of Good Practice in Education Abroad, with the Forum on Education Abroad. During the COVID pandemic, our members have implemented numerous adaptation measures, such as virtual and hybrid learning, personalized accompaniment, and relocation support for those who chose to return home earlier than expected.
