The Universidad Latinoamericana de Ciencia y Tecnología (ULACIT) is an innovative, entrepreneurial, and bilingual university that has been leading higher education in Central America since 1987. International programs

Our Global Education Services include a dynamic Study Abroad portfolio designed for study abroad international students. ULACIT offers Semester Abroad and Summer Abroad programs with flexible, credit-transferable coursework taught 100% in English, as well as Spanish Language courses, Faculty-Led and Customized Programs, Short-Term Academic Experiences, Professional Practice and Internship opportunities, and a Host Family Program.

We welcome both university partners and free movers seeking an immersive academic experience in Costa Rica and Latin America.

ULACIT operates on a trimester system (Spring, Summer, and Fall), allowing flexible mobility options and accelerated credit completion.

Semester Abroad programs run for 15 weeks with up to 15 US credits available, while Summer Abroad programs are offered in intensive 6-week formats.

Courses are competency-based, experiential, and aligned with international credit transfer standards. Our English-taught portfolio includes interdisciplinary offerings in Business, Marketing, International Relations, Psychology, Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Sustainability, Entrepreneurship, and Latin American Studies, all delivered at our bilingual campus in San José, Costa Rica.
